Education and Background – vocal for local scan it
Originally from Charkhi Dadri district of Haryana, Pancham Sheoran did his schooling from Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. He has always been a bright student, scoring a perfect 10 CGPA in High School and 85% in 12th CBSE exams.
Pancham had a curious and innovative mind since childhood and had realized that he was neither a fan of science nor interested in mathematics. His inclination was towards computers since he was ten or eleven years old. He asserts that going to the computer lab and learning all about the workings of a computer was the highlight of his school life.“I would make it a point to not miss school on the days I had a computer class” he says.
He learned QBasic programming language and Java at school. He took admission in Graphic Era University of Dehradun in B. Tech (Computer Science) and is currently a first-year student at the university.

Fortunately, Pancham comes from a family that supports his endeavors to delve into his creative and innovative mind. They have set no limitations when it comes to his career choices.

With the development of android phones, he started pondering over the idea of app development for smartphones. His ideas were fueled by the current pandemic situation going on in our country.
How the App Strengthens Vocal for Local Campaign
Soon after the Indo-China tensions began to grow along the LAC, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the vitality of Atmanirbhar Bharat, with the hope of reviving the Indian economy. As the tensions got further aggravated, the wave of Vocal for Local campaign hit many minds. The vision for localization of consumer goods and services was followed by the ban of 59 Chinese apps.
Simultaneously, with the onslaught of Covid-19, the policies of Work from Home and Online Education has been on full swing. Online classes required scanning apps such as CamScanner, which was one of the most popular choices before it got banned. In such a condition, the Scan It app is proving to be an apt and useful alternative in reinforcing the vocal for a local campaign.

However, the interesting fact about Pancham’s app is that he created this app even before the Chinese apps got banned. It’s like he had this vision all along!
In our conversation, he said, “I have always rooted for our country to be technologically self-reliant and manufacture indigenous products”.

What’s next?
At such a young age Pancham believes that there is a lot beyond the 9 to 5 rut and ten years down the line he envisions himself as an entrepreneur of his start-up Cyber Flow.
Pancham has high hopes for this app in the future and plans to take his start-up, Cyber Flow, to the zenith of success. He wants to fulfill the customers’ needs in software products and services.
